Keanu Reeves

Okay, I just saw a mmercial for his new movie.  OMG, he looks so freakin old.  I am praying that it's only makeup, because if he's old then I'm old.  Man it sucks getting old!  Maybe it was just his makeup.

Haircuts

Today we attempted to get Thing 1 & Thing 2's hair cut.  Can't they just come up with a temporary medicine that knocks them out for 15 minutes so they can get a hair cut?  The thought of doing this again anytime soon makes me think that they will have hair like all of the boys do now (think - Goldilocks).  Maybe they should give the medicine to the parents for the 15 minutes, that would do the trick!  I think I would be getting their hair cut every other week:)

Pixos!!

I am so hooked.  I didn't know that I would like my kid's toys or I would have tried them out sooner.  So far my favorites are the American Flag and the monkey.  If you haven't tried them, you should.

My visit to the dentist

Okay, so I went to the dentist today for a cleaning.  As I am laying there in the chair feeling completely awkward, I wonder what does everyone else do when they are getting their teeth cleaned?  Eyes open or closed?  I actually find it impossible to keep my tongue still and the more that I think about it, the harder it becomes.  All I can do is hope that I am not a freak and that this is normal.  I would hate being a hygienist, my hats off to them!

Pudding

Don't you just love that warm, mushy, squishy cheek that a baby has when they wake up?  I think it feels like warm pudding and it is one thing that I hope I can always remember.

Eli Walking

Yay Eli!  He is actually taking a few steps.  I guess that all we had to do was give him a deadline and he would listen.  If only parenting worked like this, life would be so easy!  Anyway, we are very proud of him.

My trophy friend

I just want to give a shout out to my friend Lisa who just returned from completing a triathlon in Vegas.  I am so impressed.  Most of all I am impressed that I have a friend that completed a triathlon.  I can't imagine swimming, biking and running in one week let alone the same day.  In addition to being a triathlete, she is a mom of 2 and has a full time career.  I am impressed.  Go Lisa!!!!

Pumpkin Patch

Today we visited Lyon Family Farms in Taft, TN to pick out a pumpkin and have a little fun.  Jake had his face painted and Sam and Eli played in the corn.  We also saw some really cool animals that were super stinky.  We also went through the corn maze and jumped in an inflatable.  It was such a gorgeous day outside and Sam and Eli loved it.  On another note, Eli stood up on his own today and took a step.  He will be walking in no time.  Which is good, since I have given him a goal of Halloween:)
